My name is Tom Bylicky, and I am CG artist. I have around eight years of experience when it comes to CG art and animation. I started off primarily in the area of graphic design, due to my BFA program being more of a mixed digital design program. During that time, I worked on a variety of projects for several different groups creating flyers, posters, brochures, websites, and user interfaces, among other things. A little while after graduating with a BFA, I decided to pursue a MFA degree, which focused more heavily in the 3D area. I completed my MFA, several years ago, and have since been working on a freelance basis.
I have worked for years designing assets and characters for websites, short films, commercials and animations. As such, I work extensively with programs such as Autodesk 3ds Max and Autodesk Maya, which is where I do the majority of my work. Additionally, I have spent a great deal of time in Adobe Photoshop working on textures, as well as more general 2D images, and I also have training in several different programming languages including html and CSS.
I am most versatile and can function well in multiple roles. I have been called a productive team member whom is able to adapt to the situation as the project calls for it. I have experience working with personnel at all levels, and I am able to work independently with great success. I am both creative in my work and timely when it comes to deadlines.
